octave-financial software package provides financial manipulation and plotting functions, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install octave-financial
octave-financial is installed in your system.
Make ensure the octave-financial package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep octave-financial *
You will get with octave-financial package name, version, architecture and description in a table
